1st quarter final – Sunday October 27
2nd quarter final – Sunday November 3
3rd quarter final – Sunday November 10
The quarter final is 3 rounds each, one poem per round not exceeding 3 minutes each.
However Round 2 is a face off round and the poem is themed – Uniting and Uplifting Africa.
The top 5 from each group (i.e. Quarter Final) automatically qualify for the Semifinal, 6th poet will be determined via online votes.
Semifinal – Sunday November 17
This is direct face off  i.e. 9 vs 9 – just one round – one themed poem. The theme of the one poem will be provided after the 3rd quarter final.
Grandfinal – Sunday December 1
The Grand final is 3 rounds each, one poem per round not exceeding 3 minutes each.
However Round 2 is a face off round and the poem will be themed (and will be announced after the semifinal).
All events hold on Sundays.

 

THE VENUE FOR ALL THE EVENTS

The KÖNA Recreative Hub,
1, Ebunolu Adegboruwa Lane,
Off Freedom Way,
Lekki Phase 1, Lagos State.

Directions: From Lekki Phase 1 gate, take a bike/ Keke Marwa/ jog or drive down to the last junction of Admiralty Way i.e. the end of Admiralty Way is Freedom Way.

Then turn left and look out for Ebunolu Adegboruwa Lane on your right. KÖNA Recreative Hub is the first building by the left, Number One.

You can also come into Freedom Way via Ikate or 3rd Roundabout Lekki Bus Stop.

TIME : 2pm to 6pm on each day.

GATE FEE : Free, just register at the gate and buy yourself a drink
