She has performed on Rave TV; opened the 2018 Lagos Books and Arts Festival; had her poem personally read and selected by Wole Soyinka, for the 2019 World Poetry Day event, organised by Providus Bank in Lagos; among others.
Joy is a co-curator at Small Small Poems, a creative outlet for short, profound poems. She lives in Lagos, where she works as Managing Editor at Wawa Book Review, as Resident Editor at Sabi Writers and as a freelance editor.
