Home Articles / Poems NOT A MAN

How often it pleases you
To see her kill her pride
Just to respect you

Yet her ceaseless trials
Never enjoyed your notice
Rather, you spend abuse on her

You adorn her with blames
Of how she lost her foetus frequently
Was it not the trampling of your punches?

That chased the children standing
At the door of her womb
Yet, you think you are a man?

Who served you bitters for sweets
And stole the truth from you
That without her, you can stand?

Your actions smell like sewage
Don't think it. Don't believe it
For you are not a man

You don't better a beast
For the man that loved her
Died in the arms of strange women

Until then. Until you return
You are just a beast
You are not a man
