Please can you tell me more about how are you solving African problems through poetry.
Education, Entrepreneurship and Employment (job creation).
These three are been addressed by the developing vibrant spoken word poetry industry.
The minimum qualification/ foundation to be a poet is the ability to read and write. The more you seek to improve yourself, the more you need to read and write.
This helps with increasing the level of literacy as one delves deeper to improve one’s craft.
Every art form has its business side. So getting to know and master the business of spoken word poetry is entrepreneurship. This starts from self employment to business owner to investor.
Thirdly, as the business of spoken word poetry increases, the need to employ people for research and other activities also will increase.
I hope this summary helps.
