Elizabeth Adeola Ayoola is a vibrant Nigerian, British, American spoken word performer who has been performing poetry for the past seven years covering a range of topics that are inspired by personal experiences as well as prominent social issues. In 2012, Theatre Royal Stratford East in collaboration with New World Nigeria chose her as one of the 30 artists selected to take part in 30 Nigeria House, a search for original creative work from young artists (aged 18-35) of Nigerian heritage.
She has performed at arts events, corporate events, open-mic nights and weddings, and also recently won second place in the Eko Poetry Slam. She is the founder of a spoken word website,Oro.com.ng, which is a platform in which Spoken Word Artists, particularly those of Nigerian descent can promote their work, connect and interact with other artists.
She will be live at WORD UP Volume 9 on March 21, 2015 at TerraKulture Hall, Victoria Island, Lagos from 2pm.
