Wine, Chicken and days gone by

All day we sat

Not a few bottles of wine did we drown in

Chicken wings sailed with the wine

We recounted the good old days

Not sure how good the days were

But I was sure the days were old.

Not a few problems and issues did we pick out in the “new young days,”

We blame everyone and everything

Yet failed in at least suggesting and pursuing solutions

But who cares about solutions?

That’s hard work

After all, what can a few of us do?

Besides, the fear of EFCC and DSS is the beginning of limitation of complaints.

Thus we consoled ourselves

And so all day we sat

Not a few bottles of wine did we drown in

Chicken wings sailed with the wine

Today is for seeing problems and issues

Tomorrow our children will also see them

And they will recount the good old days

Not sure how good the days were

But who cares?

After all, we their parents did nothing about it.
